Next Farm Foundation® Forum to Focus on Carbon Markets
Free virtual event will take place on March 16, 2021
OAK BROOK, Ill.—Farm Foundation®, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, will host its next Forum, Emerging Carbon Markets in Agriculture: Issues and Opportunities, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. CT. This moderated panel will examine the current state of agricultural carbon markets, including the opportunities and challenges they present for organizations looking to improve their climate impact.
The robust panel, which features perspectives from farming, science and agribusiness, includes:

Shari Rogge-Fidler, President and CEO of Farm Foundation, will serve as moderator. She notes that this Forum is a unique chance to dig into an issue that has important implications for farmers and ranchers. “As carbon markets gain momentum, we are seeing greater focus than ever on agriculture’s potential role in mitigating climate concerns,” she says. “It’s critical that we examine the opportunities and potential drawbacks with rigor so that all stakeholders have the necessary understanding to craft or participate in effective programs.”
