OAK BROOK, Ill.—Farm Foundation®, an accelerator of practical solutions for agriculture, will host its next virtual Forum, Biologicals in Agriculture: Innovation, Science and Promise, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. CDT.
Panelists include these experts:
- Laura Lampa, Microbial Curation Lead, Bayer Crop Science
- Don Long, Owner, Agricultural Solutions LLC
- Karsten Temme, CEO and Co-founder, Pivot Bio
- Mark Trimmer, Managing Partner, DunhamTrimmer LLC
Keith Jones, Executive Director of the Biological Products Industry Alliance, will moderate the panel.
During the two-hour session, the panel will explore the science and innovation as well as the investment opportunities in this evolving area, which aims to use products derived from living organisms to improve crop performance and soil health. Discussion is expected to include the categories of these products and their uses, how the industry is changing, and where the science may be headed in the future. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions for the panelists to answer live during the event.
“The conversation around biological crop protection has been gaining momentum, and farmers understandably have many questions about how to determine if they should incorporate these new products into their practices,” said Shari Rogge-Fidler, Farm Foundation President and CEO. “We are glad to provide this opportunity for farmers and other stakeholders to learn more about this topic, so that they have the information they need to decide what’s best for their own operations.”
This event is being held virtually and is free to attend, but registration is required. Farmers, ranchers, food and agribusiness leaders, government officials and staff, industry representatives, NGO representatives, academics, students in agricultural disciplines and members of the media are all encouraged to attend.
