Building Relationships and Promoting Opportunities at MANRRS

Farm Foundation recently participated in the 38th Annual Training Conference and Career Expo hosted by the Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS). The event, held in Chicago March 20 to 24 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, provided a valuable platform to connect with the next generation of leaders in our industry.

Farm Foundation’s Amanda Martin, director of development, and Martha King, vice president of programs and projects, enjoyed connecting with the next generation at MANRSS.
Farm Foundation Cultivator Alum (2023) Milosh McAdoo was one of the several program participants in attendance.

Amanda Martin, Farm Foundation director of development, and Martha King, vice president of programs and projects, participated in meetings and reconnected with valuable alumni from our programs. In addition, we set up a dedicated booth to educate attendees about Farm Foundation’s mission and the exciting opportunities we offer.

MANRRS plays a crucial role in promoting academic and professional advancement for minorities in agriculture, natural resources, and related fields. Their dedication to empowering future leaders aligns perfectly with Farm Foundation’s vision. By participating in this event, we were able to directly connect with these talented students and young professionals, fostering connections and creating awareness of the programs and resources available through Farm Foundation.
