2024 Congressional Fellows Travel to St. Louis

Six congressional staff members (two Senate and four House) recently participated in the 2024 Farm & Field Congressional Fellowship program. The group traveled to the St. Louis area during the week of August 5th to experience food and agriculture enterprises firsthand, and to talk to the owners and operators of those businesses about the issues that they address on a daily basis.

The group visited 39 North, CoverCress, and Danforth Plant Science Center, on the first day. On the second day of the tour, they visited the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC), Keller Farms, J.R. Kelly Company, Eckerts Orchard, and the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Food, Agriculture, Nutrition Innovation Center.

This was the fifth congressional tour Farm Foundation has led since the program was founded in 2018.
