Isaac Albores
Isaac is currently a graduate research assistant at Virginia Tech, pursuing an M.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics with a research focus on commodity market analysis. His current research examines agricultural commodities’ price dynamics and market volatility under varying market conditions and shocks.
Isaac earned his bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics from Virginia Tech in the spring of 2024. He serves as an analyst for Commodity Investing by Students (COINS), the only student-run commodity trading group in the United States. Additionally, Isaac has participated in the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). These experiences have allowed him to apply his skills and knowledge in agriculture in practical settings.
Isaac is eager to apply his training in applied econometrics and economic impact analysis to agricultural markets and pricing. He is passionate about using rigorous quantitative methods to better understand market dynamics and inform producers and stakeholders of potential market implications.
