Kelsey Vourazeris
Kelsey is a passionate scholar dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of Agricultural Economics, with a specialized focus on Food Supply Chain Resilience. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Agribusiness) at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, with plans to graduate in May 2026. Kelsey’s academic journey began at the University of Tennessee, where she earned dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Agricultural and Resource Economics. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics, along with a dual degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Economics, from the University of Tennessee.
Her commitment to academic excellence is complemented by a diverse range of professional experiences. As a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Arizona State University, Kelsey has instructed advanced undergraduate courses in agricultural policy, conducted insightful guest lectures, and engaged in qualitative research exploring strategies for resolving imperfections in the food supply chain. She has also created financial models for comparing different technological innovations.
Kelsey’s research interests span various aspects of supply chain management, technology adoption, and the economic implications of improved traceability in the fresh produce industry. She is currently involved in research projects examining the value of information from improved traceability and dynamic modeling of technology adoption in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
Before entering academia, Kelsey honed her analytical and leadership skills in roles at UBS Financial Services, Kroger, Louis Glunz Beer Inc., and Healthcare Corporation of America. At UBS, she automated the reconciliation process of two independent databases to identify variances and make corrections, while overseeing KPRs for daily trade volume of $6 billion for a team of 10. Her most significant work at UBS was developing an Alteryx tool to migrate 92,106 Equity and Fixed Income Accounts.
In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Kelsey is actively involved in extracurricular activities and community engagement. She volunteers annually at local FFA competitions and student outreach fairs. As the 2023 Director of Events for the Graduate Professional Student Association at ASU, she organized successful events that fostered a sense of community among graduate students.
With a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and proficiency in programming languages, Kelsey is equipped to tackle complex challenges and contribute meaningfully to both academia and industry. She is grateful for the opportunities afforded to her and looks forward to making a positive impact in her field and beyond.
