Grace May

Presentation topic: “Managing the Technology Treadmill in the Next Green Revolution”

Grace May is a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying Agriculture and Consumer Economics with a concentration in Public Policy & Law and minors in Business as well as Environmental Economics & Law.

Having grown up in Princeton, a small town in northern Illinois, Grace has a deep passion and respect for all aspects of agriculture. She hopes to use her education to one day aid in creating policies that support the industry and the rural communities that rely upon it. During her time at the University of Illinois, Grace has kept herself busy through various activities such as her membership in Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority. Grace has also spent time as a student ambassador for the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Economics, worked as a grader and assistant for her favorite public policy course, as well as an agriculture assistant for the Department of Crop Sciences, where she has assisted a soybean breeding program for the past three years.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois, Grace plans on entering a career focused on agriculture policy.
