Shane Duncan
Shane Duncan is the owner/operator of Duncan Enterprises in Moscow, Idaho. He is a custom farmer and operator for dry land agricultural production in the area known as the Palouse. As a fourth+ generation farmer, he is committed to passing along the farming experience to generations to come. One avenue he uses to accomplish this is staying committed to leaving every acre in better condition than when he found it.
Growing up on a dryland farm and cattle ranch has instilled a passion for agriculture in Shane. One of his goals is to create a foundation to assist family farms that are in need of assistance to keep their farm in operation due to the death, injury, or serious illness of a family member. Shane has experienced this need firsthand and he currently helps others in their time of their need.
In 2007, Shane graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Idaho in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering department with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Systems Management with a Production Management option. He also minored in agribusiness and another in natural resource economics and rural community development. His education has allowed him the opportunities to hold professional positions in both finance and agronomy.
In addition to juggling time with family, board and committee positions, supporting community events and volunteering as his kids sports coach, Shane also holds a full-time position as the vice president agricultural and commercial loan officer for a local bank.
