Chrissie’s Bio

Investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders is at the heart of Chrissie Edgeworth’s work. As Next Generation Program Manager, she creates experiences that help students and early-career professionals build the knowledge, relationships, and confidence to shape the future of food and agriculture. From leadership programs and national workshops to alumni engagement, she helps participants discover not only where they fit in the industry, but how they can make a lasting difference.

Chrissie brings more than a decade of experience spanning nonprofit leadership, farming, environmental education, international development, and food systems. Her career has taken her from managing a regenerative nonprofit farm and growing organic vegetables in Illinois to serving as a Peace Corps Agroforestry Volunteer in Guinea and leading educational programs in Yellowstone National Park. Those experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the people, communities, and ecosystems that make agriculture possible.

What inspires Chrissie most is connecting people with opportunities that help them grow. She believes the future of agriculture depends on curious, collaborative leaders who are willing to learn from one another and build stronger food systems together.

Outside of work, Chrissie enjoys discovering live music, traveling to new places, and exploring communities through their food, culture, and local traditions.
